The worlds most snazziest smartphone will finally arrive on Indian shores albeit through online sales as of now. Infibeam, Flipkart and Amazon have started taking pre-orders for both iPhone 6 and its more luxurious sibling iPhone 6 Plus. The starting price for the basic iPhone 6 is Rs.53500.00. The 64GB version of the iPhone 6 is priced at Rs 62,500 and the 128GB version will sell for Rs 71,500. The 64GB version of the larger Apple iPhone 6 Plus is priced at Rs 71,500 and the 128GB variant of the phone will sell for Rs 80,500.
iPhones have been known to cause huge queues at the physical stores and downtimes for the online sites selling it once the it is released. Apple's partner in India, Reddington has partnered with online retailer Infibeam to sell the plush devices, which claims to be the sole Authorised Apple online retailer in India.
Thankfully for the iPhone lovers, the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus are also also listed on Flipkart. However, Flipkart page also has a Pre-Order Now button and it also states the estimated delivery date as October 17th, which is well before Diwali. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have been listed on the site starting at Rs 53,500.00 and Rs 62,500.00 respectively.
Kindly remember that the October 17 delivery schedule is only for metros like Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Gurgaon, Pune, Jaipur, Nagpur, Faridabad, Noida and Secunderabad.
Amazon India has also listed the Apple iPhone 6, although it does not have a pre-order button. At the moment it just asks users to “Sign up to be notified when this item becomes available” and there is no information about iPhone 6 Plus.
Post the high drama about the launch dates on Apple India's website, this is welcome news for all the iPhone fans waiting out there to grab the latest Apple offerings.
