Vodafone subscribers in India are getting get a nice little Christmas and New Year gift from Vodafone. It has launched a FREE audio and video streaming App for Android smart phones and devices. Though the streaming is free of charge (connection charges apply) downloads will be chargeable for Vodafone Music at Rs 3.00 per song and Rs 10.00 for five songs. You can also opt for unlimited download packages at Rs.5.00 per day, Rs.29.00 per week or Rs.99.00 per month. Remember this App only works for Vodafone subscribers in India.
The only sad thing about this App is that it only works with mobile Internet and doesn’t support Wi-Fi connectivity. You however can also it by visiting the Vodafone Music store on their mobile devices or head to live.vodafone.in and click on Music link to start free music streaming on phones.

The service has been brought by Vodafone India in collaboration with Hungama Digital Media Entertainment and Vodafone says that iOS and Windows Phone Apps are under development and will be released soon. Some of the key highlights of the Vodafone Music App are audio and video streaming, audio and video downloads(paid), search options and it also offers sharing options. From Vodafone's point of view both downloading and streaming will bring in cash, streaming via connectivity charges and downloading via pay per download subscription.
