Now even your children can appear for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) in India through 'TOEFL Junior Test'

For those parents who are obsessed with their children getting better education and career opportunities, here is some good news. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) has now launched a 'TOEFL Junior Test' for your young ones who are in middle school.  India will become the first country to host this test after a pilot program was successfully conducted in South Korea.
Now even your children can appear for TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) in India through 'TOEFL Junior Test'

The TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) pronounced as tofal is a premier English Language Test conducted by Eductational Testing Service. For the uninitiated, passing TOEFL is mandatory for obtaining admissions in most of the North America and UK based colleges and universities.  Additionally, institutions such as government agencies, licensing bodies, businesses, or scholarship programs require the applicant to have passed this test. It may kindly be noted that the TOEFL scores are valid for two years from the date of passing.

ETS the organisation behind the TOEFL has said that the junior test will measure the degree to which younger students(your child) has attained "language proficiency representative of English-medium instructional environments" which essentially means that it will find out how good your child is for future English medium education. They have further added that it is meant at serving as a general progress measure to give schools, teachers, parents and students an objective measure of the students' English-language progress. It can help measure developing English communication skills in preparation of future studies in English (which should be read as in US, Canada or UK).

As per their spokesperson the test will have three sections. The first section consists of listening comprehension will test the ability to listen for basic, interpersonal purposes as well as academic and instructional purposes. The next one deals with reading comprehension section will gauge the ability to read and understand academic and non-academic texts.  And finally the last one is on language form and meaning will test the ability to demonstrate proficiency in key enabling skills such as grammar and vocabulary.

  2. Of course a good certification program should teach most or all of these topics, and it's common for schools to give an orientation before teaching starts.

  3. That's really helpful for their part especially that they were trying to have a better way on running a certain matter for them to give students a better way of education than what they used to.
