May Day surprise from Google, now you can create your Calendar directly from Gmail

May Day surprise from Google, now you can create your Calendar directly from Gmail

Google has rolled out a new goodie for Gmail users.  Starting yesterday it has started out rolling a small update for Gmail which lets you create a Calendar directly from your Gmail.    However the update is only in English (US) as of now and the update will be rolling out ever so slowly so don't be surprised if your Gmail doesn't have it yet.

The new Gmail will let you create your Calendar directly from the mail.  Once your Gmail is updated with the feature, the mails received and sent by you will have the DATE and TIME within the mail underlined lightly.  As soon as that happens all you have to do is to click on the date or time and schedule your meeting or whatever without leaving the Gmail screen.

As shown in the image above, you can schedule your day with just a click.  This update is particularly useful for the heavy network users and geeks who schedule everything from their mail.   Though other languages are not available yet, Google will add other languages as soon as the English (US) roll out is completed.  Google is certainly rolling out updates in a hurry.  Last month it gave a nicer look and feel to the Google Plus and now this update with Gmail.  Will keep you posted of any further updates in the mean time you kindly comment on the new update from Google.
