Yesterday, some users found their profiles deleted on Instagram. As the users went on to login to Instagram, it showed the users that they did not exist. Instagram later tweeted that Instagram is not deleting your profiles and the company said that “deletion” of accounts was only caused because of a temporary glitch. If you were affected by the Instagram outage yesterday you would have been greeted by the following message while accessing Instagram yesterday “Your account has been disabled due to terms of service violations.”
The photo-sharing app makers admitted on Twitter that the issue was under control and the app was back on track following a hiccup that lead to some users finding themselves locked out of their Instagram profiles. “Yesterday we experienced technical issues that caused people to be unable to access their accounts for a short period of time,” the company wrote in a blog. “We restored access as soon as the issue was brought to our attention, and we're sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.”
Some of users were unable to access their Instagram profiles yesterday, leading to widespread barrage against Instagram on Twitter. Some claimed that the accounts were disabled due violation of Instagram ToS while others blamed the Penguin 2.0 role out by Google. The disruption patterns were quite erratic with many users reporting that not using self clicked imaged from Apps built in camera had caused this problem.
And in an apparent bid to fill in the glitch, Instagram was filled with fake images apparently from the Instagram staff, asking users to repost them. “Instagram is currently having technical difficulties so your account may get deleted,” reads an image. “In order to not get deleted, repost this picture and tag @dontdeletemyig. Thank you for your patience – Instagram Staff.”
However the things are under control now as per Instagram and you can go back to it with your old profile and enjoy Image sharing.
