As reported in my blog dated 7.2.2013, the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.2 updates are out. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is being updated by Jelly Bean 4.2.2. A Reddit user, WeeManFoo was the first lucky one to update his phone. The update is pretty minor and was expected from Google.
The user WeeManFoo has also released a image of the update page on his phone, which, from the looks of it, seems like a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. He has also noted that :
1. The streaming over Bluetooth bug in previous Android version seems to have been fixed but only just. He noted that his stereo connection was disconnected as soon as he switched on 3G or Wi-Fi.
2. The differences he noticed was that the notification shade drop down animation is slower and the icon in the top right is different after you change to the quick settings screen. He has added that regular settings screen might be a slightly lighter grey. Other than those things and the bluetooth being better, there were no changes.
3. Even the icons remained the same.
Screen Shot of the image he has posted :
The much awaited update may be a damp squib after all the hype around it. Also, pretty funny for the update to be released on Galaxy Nexus rather than Google's own Nexus 4.
Please post your comments regarding the update.
