The popular image sharing platform Flickr was updated yesterday. New new update lets you, users to download the photos to their devices. To download the photo, you have to tap the share icon on any photo and then tap the 'save photo' option. Once done the photo will be saved on your phone in the largest available resolution. That is not all.
The update has fixed some bugs and now lets the Flickr users to mention their friends from the App itself by using the @ your friends name tag. Doing so they can add it anywhere that is in title, in description or in comments. Once you mention your friends name, your friend will be notified automatically. You can also enable the app to notify you if your name is mentioned by any of your friends.
The update has also increased the res of the photos, so you have high resolution photo display in lightbox view. Another important feature added in the update is the ability to take photos from the app using the iPhone's volume up button, which will let you take photos in an instant. This is by far the best of the feature.
Flickr has also claimed that the update has increased the upload time with the upload running in background even as you use the App.
A lots of feature rich update, this, get it here if you haven't already from Apple Store.
