Speed up your internet browsing thanks to new Mozilla Firefox

Mozilla has released an update for its Firefox browser.  The new version Firefox 18, is available for almost all operating systems.  Firefox claims this latest update will increase the speed upto 25 % on web apps and games running on JavaScript.

The improvments as listed by Mozilla are mostly on the compilation front with a new JavaScript compiler and preliminary support for WebRTC.  The single biggest winners will be Mac users with Retina support for Mac.

The latest version is available on Mozilla website for all OS except Android.  Android users grab your version here.  The new version has JavaScrip JIT compiler which Mozilla calls IonMonkey makes web apps and games run 25 % faster as said above.  The official changelog also points out to improvement in tab switching performance and HTML scaling algorithm.  There are some changes in developer also like DOM property and faster startup time.

The Android version has integration with Google Now and Safe Browsing.  Searching has also been made easier in new update.

The only thing missing from the update is PDF viewer which was available in the beta version but somehow is not available in the final version.

Firefox as always will be a hot favorite with the developers and bloggers.
