If you are studying in classes 5th to 10th and are interested in Java, C++ or Scratch, you can register with Google's India Code to Learn Contest. Participants have to create a story, game, music show or any other creative thing they can come up with. But the creation has to be made in Scratch. Scratch is a programming language created by MIT Media Lab. You can learn more about Scratch here.
However those studying in 9th and 10th can also use Java or C++ instead of Scratch. Another beauty of the contest is that you have to compile your project at home and submit it online. Before starting off with the project do register here. You have until 30th August 2013 to submit your project.
So register, download Scratch and start your project. Remember you will have to upload all your project files onto a Google Drive folder so if you don't have one get it here.
There are cool prizes to be won in addition to recognition of your creative talent and compiling knowledge. To check what this is all about take a peek at the video below
If it was during my times I would have certainly participated it.
