Uninor Prepaid users in Mumbai get your money refunded

Fate of Uninor substribers hangs in balance, boon for Airtel and Vodafone

Uninor users in Mumbai kindly refer to my blog article 19.2.2013 wherein I had mentioned that the fate of Uninor users hanged in balance following the Supreme Court of India verdict on 15.2.2013.  The Uninor today announced the repayment of balance amount in the prepaid account of Uninor to its users.

If you were a Uninor user and had some balance in your prepaid account, you can approach the dedicated customer care counters.  The image of the advertisement that appeared in Times of India giving the details of the various customer care counters across Mumbai is given below

You can also dial its exclusive helpline no.9175091750 for any further help.  Norway's Telenor on Sunday said it has started the process to refund money to its Mumbai customers and help them shift to alternate mobile operators in the wake of its network shutdown.  You may again refer my blog for websites of various mobile operators offering Mobile Number Portability.

It shut operations a week ago, affecting 1.8 million customers in Mumbai. The company has already made refunds of over 4 lakh and published a list of its outlets equipped to make refunds on outstanding prepaid balance.

Telenor's subsidiary Uninor had been instructed by telecom regulator Trai to return balance amounts of its subscribers in Mumbai and Kolkata within 15 days and facilitate its customers to move to other operators using mobile number portability, following a court ruling against extension of its licence.

"Uninor will immediately begin offering porting codes to its Mumbai subscribers. Additionally, the company has already started the balance refund process at five of its stores in Mumbai from February 21. This initiative is now being publically announced and scaled up," the company said in a statement on Sunday.

Please use this opportunity to get your money back and apply for another service provider.
