There is a expectation of Play Station 4 launch as early as by the 20th February this year. Sony is hosting a event which has all signs of unveiling of the new PS 4.
A post on Sony's official PlayStation blog says "See The Future" and the message on the blogs states "Be the first to know". The teaser video highlights the shapes and sounds of now familiar PlayStation controller, leading to added impetus on pointers to PS 4 launch.
PlayStation 3 has already served Sony for seven years, outliving the gamin industry standard of 4 to 5 years and with launch of Nintendo Wii U in November 2012, the stakes of gaming industry have changed dramatically in this quarter. The PS3 sales have started to sag and Xbox 360 is also starting to show signs of living out its lifespan.
PlayStation 4 could be available as early as September 2013 and Microsoft with its Xbox will follow suit with next gen gaming console.
