Good news for Android developers and modders, the HTC has revealed its Kernel Source for HTC One SV and Sony has unveiled the Firefox OS ROM for Xperia E.
If you are a developer or modder/flasher, please download the file from HTC Dev Centre. There are around 16 different versions based on countries and carriers.
The Firefox is now a certain reality and a competition which Google and Apple will find tough to beat. The Sony guys have released a ROM for Xperia E users to try and test the new OS.
For now, the only device that will support the Firefox OS ROM is the Xperia E. If this experiment were to succeed, the Sony guys may release the ROM for other Xperia phones as well. Do remember that to flash the Firefox OS ROM, you’ll need to have an unlocked Xperia E. After you install the ROM, you will be able to develop HTML5 games as per the Sony Developers site. Read the site instructions before embarking on this new Firefox journey.
